I have apparently neglected my LiveJournal for quite a while...but I'm still alive, still in Macon, GA, and not much has changed :-)

I will be posting more often, I think I will check and update all my accounts every evening.

Holy rusted metal, Batman!

I have been neglecting my entire online presence for several reasons...

One...I have been house/dog sitting for my parents and sister, so running back and forth between two houses plus my own, while working fulltime and going to school fulltime have been a bit too much.

Two...I have started a new career, finally, since I moved to Macon over a year ago. There is a lot to learn, but I am trying my hardest and they have been really cool with me being gone for Anthrocon.

But...I am back online!

I'm still here! Depending on your point of view, that could be a good thing or a bad thing LOL!

In fact, I don't think anyone went anywhere. Seems Pastor Camping will have to eat his words. Again.

The date and time predictions would not work anyhow. For Christians, to get technical, the Bible does clearly state that nobody will know the day, nor the hour. (Furthermore, the Bible also warns against false prophecies. That's one big friggin' OOPS there, Pastor Camping...)

Had a great time last night with Sinabu, Coy, Curly, Ally, Stewart, Taba, and Roulette. Went out, ate Mexican, and played some games. And oh yes...there was fursuiting! Hadn't done that since FWA.

I will be away for a little bit. I have some personal issues at home to deal with that require my absence for a while, but I will be back.

We are furries for more reasons than one. Donning synthetic fur outfits and pretending to be animals is awesome, as is celebrating each of our inner animals. Don't get me wrong, but the reason we are who we are is because we help each other. We refuse to bide by normal standards of how a person should act. We survive because we stand on each other's power to allow ourselves to succeed in life and become more than just creations. We understand each other, and we all spend a lot of time telling other people how much we care for each other.

Put your money where your mouth is.

That being said, I have a personal interest in mind. I have a very close friend, who has worked hard to achieve what he has and just once, unfortunately, succumbed to what we all too often fear, the medical condition.

Here is, in his own words, the situation my close friend is experiencing:

Let me start off by saying thank you. Everyones kindness has lifted my spirits higher than I thought was possible. To anyone who might read this that may not of heard yet I have fallen victim to a heart complication. Unfortainately I do not have health insurance. Although there is a law stating that even if you do not have medical insurance they still have to treat you, that doesn't apply to specialist who may be a private practitioner, and unfortainately that is who has to do my surgery. Luckily I am surrounded by truly wonderful people who have posted journals trying to collect donations and also Are having charity auctions to raise money. I believe the total amount raised so far is around $2500 out of the $16,500 needed. I will be posting journals to keep everyone updated on my condition and how close we are coming to reaching our goal.

If you would be interested in making any donation you can send it through paypal to sinabu (Send donation to Sinabu@gmail.com) who is handling the donations for me, and please mark it as donation for Sporty's surgery. Please donate all that you can. I can personally vouch for this guy, and he is a wonderful person with friends that care for him. Anything helps. I cannot tell you strongly enough how much my friend needs you. Please do not hesitate and give what you can. While the world is full of needs, Sporty is truly worth your efforts. He is one of those that have enriched my life and make me proud to be furry.

I have a very close friend that needs a spot to crash at FWA...he's very quiet and drama-free, just needs a space to sleep. I can personally vouch for him, he's a great guy. Will have air mattress. Will be there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night only. Contact me for details and let me know what the cost would be. He is NOT a fursuiter.

Damn why is life so complicated?

Where did everyone go? Where's the fun and the meaning and all that? I try to be a good person, and for what? So I can make one small comment about my FA page and cause a stir? I got 16 private messages about my comment about trying to weed out some of the trolls that watch me just to leave me negative comments. I'm sorry, I want to log onto my FA and see messages and comments from my FRIENDS and people I KNOW, not some random person that says "why do you have a red mohawk on your fursuit, don't ya know that looks dumb?" or "No wonder you're a Badger...they are so fat!"

I'm sorry that I really want to have real live friends who comment back and forth about what I post and what they post and not just banal nothings about their mate said something mean to them or whatever.

Also funny how 14 out of the 16 messages were from people who can't even be bothered to watch me on FA anyhow. Believe me, I know I am not worthy and am pretty much a nobody. You don't have to rub it in.

Hell if I know. I give up.
